What up. My name is Dave Smith and I’m a father of 5 who married way up. I’m a General Contractor specializing in residential renovations, I’m easily distracted, routinely butcher one-liners and catch phrases, and I once flew 2,647 miles across the United States for a “Leadership” conference a week early on accident, this adding to the long list of my personal goof ups affectionately known as “Smithisms”. I love a good cigar alongside a Manhattan and if I had a Patronus Charm my silver animal would be a dragon. I’m a “beach person”, I want to be stylish but not enough to actually be stylish, and I’m a person of faith. I believe that Jesus is who he said he is over 2000 years ago, love him, can’t figure out why he loves me, and feel closest to Jesus when I’m helping others. I’m comfortable with a bit of chaos but ironically also suffer from anxiety, love personal growth, lacrosse, and family pizza movie nights. I’ll happily run a red light if no one is in sight, swim in the restricted area being renovated at my gym until I’m caught, and habitually pee in my backyard after returning from a date with my wife. I know what it feels like to be over weight and also to be in great shape. I have experienced extreme debt living paycheck to paycheck and also times of plenty. I lead others and at the same time question my ability to do so. I struggle from bad drinking habits that began as a coping mechanism from when I was a Foster Parent. I often speak then think, have fun making up false facts about myself that can’t be easily disproved (like “I used to be able to play that song on the guitar”), I have zero rhythm and yet the nickname “White Chocolate”, and as a general rule believe that if a movie is in black and white it is not one I will enjoy.
